Shoes On Set_6

Hola! Everyone! Its been WAY too long but I have spent the good part of this year on set.

And, to show for it, will once again be visiting Park City tagging along with a good parcel of the Seattle Filmmaking Community to represent Seattle Independent Filmmakers with at least(?) films.

And counting. (I'll be there with the amazing cast and crew of Safety Not Guaranteed (check out the US Dramatic Competition line up here!)

Our first screening after landing will be Lynn Shelton's Your Sister's Sister.

But meanwhile, a long overdue installation of Shoes On Set.
This is a rare down moment for The Art Department behind the scenes for the soon to be released Nothing Against Life :

This isn't a Fashion Shoot.
This is a Film Production.
Form will always follow function.
There is a story or script behind each foot.

"no one takes pictures of me on set"

Erik Simkins- I love this guy.
blog.simkinsphotography.com
I met him on Grassroots- he hides under tables, in fireplaces and in bushes to get shots on set.
He's one of my 2 'Go-To' set photographers.

Regan MacStravic is my other #1fav.
The combination of these 2 amazing visions is perfect to capture all the set style essence, story line, making of,  emotion, challenges, dynamics, cast head-shots and promo spots that a producer could ever want!  They are Amazing!
Of course I'd love to do my own more often, but there never seems to be a moment to get to wardrobe and hair&makeup.
~I apologize for mixing up the images without credits-its oh so unprofessional, but I'm fairly sure this is an even mix of my 2 friends talent right here and I'll get it sorted out if you just ask~

March

Wow.
talking to a potential agent
in pre-production design on (2)  SIFF Fly Film production(s)
discussing prop house options with a colleague
mentoring an already talented young colleague with WIF
picking house colors
congratulating my brother on a New job!

March is going ballistic already, so I know it's gonna be good.
-deets to follow...

Oh.  for Pete sake.
I wish I had time to do this. (a blog post)
Working on a feature, and I'd love to share, but my time is managed.

But we sure had an Incredible time in Park City!
The town is Lovely, the weather is Bad Ass, the films are Top Shelf.
I insist we All go again next year!! Seattle was Stupendous! (4-fer-Four!)

It was incredible. (see Rebecca Luke's blog)
Sundance & Park City 2011 pics and data to follow. please, be patience- I promise, more to come.
